USGA
From Many, One

Merely qualifying for the U.S. Open is difficult enough. But to actually hoist the trophy on Sunday requires the type of grit, determination, and will that few golfers possess. Our From Many, One campaign featured Don Cheadle while highlighting what makes our Major such a uniquely grueling challenge.

We needed to shine a light on what made the U.S. Open different from any other Major in golf. First we created the tagline, “From Many, One” as a nod to the insane number of entrants all vying to be the one true champion and the Championship’s American heritage (From Many, One being a play on E Pluribus Unum). When it came to finding an ambassador who could be the voice of the tournament, we felt there was no better option than Don Cheadle. Not only is he an avid golfer and Oscar-nominated actor, but he has an approachable personality and unique charisma that would give our creative the gravitas it needed to resonate with a wide range of golf lovers. Additionally, we created a fully integrated campaign that extended to print, digital, social, and activations, along with on-site messaging that highlights how it’s nearly impossible to qualify for the U.S. Open, let alone actually be the last man standing on Sunday.
